Levy UK + Ireland, the sports and hospitality arm of Compass Group UK + Ireland, has announced it is combining its business in Ireland with Irish catering business Fitzers Catering.
Operating since 1986, Fitzers caters corporate events, sporting events and conventions at venues including the Convention Centre Dublin, Leopardstown Racecourse, Fairyhouse Racecourse and the Curragh.
The partnership will allow Fitzers to leverage Levy's scale to grow its operations in Ireland while enabling Levy to expand its footprint in the country to seven venues in total -- the company already caters events at the Aviva Stadium.
Fitzers Catering will continue to be the leading brand of Levy UK + Ireland’s sports and conference operations in Ireland and retain its management team of managing director Barry Storey and founders Sharon Fitzpatrick, Paula Fitzpatrick and Leonard Fearon.
"We are proud to be joining the Levy UK + Ireland family, renowned for its guest-first approach and commitment to improving the future of hospitality," Storey said.
"Fitzers Catering and Levy UK + Ireland’s shared passion for excellence in food, service, and purpose make this partnership a real win for both companies and the customers we are proud to serve."
The joined-up approach will allow Fitzers to focus on sports and conferencing operations in Ireland while developing and securing new business in the region with Levy's backing. Compass Ireland, which is a separate business, will continue to focus in its areas of expertise.
Jonathan Davies, managing director of Levy UK + Ireland, said: "Fitzers Catering is a highly regarded food service business in Ireland, and like Levy UK+I, is squarely focused on culinary excellence and innovation, superb customer service, and the power of talent in the hospitality industry.
"There is a significant opportunity with this partnership to strengthen both parties and will further enhance our customer proposition in the Irish market.”
Levy also operates through a number of subsidiaries in Ireland, including Keith Prowse, Payne and Gunter, and Lime Venue Portfolio.
