Accenture taps Graham Healy to lead Industry X

Accenture has appointed Graham Healy as managing director of Industry X, its digital engineering and manufacturing service,

Industry X aims to use insights from data and digital technologies to help clients in sectors such as life sciences, utilities and agriculture to research and develop software-enabled products and platforms.

Healy will be responsible for the growth of Industry X, including Enterprise System Partners (ESP), the Cork-based life sciences consulting and manufacturing business acquired by Accenture in 2019.

He will also lead Accenture's efforts to grow its operations in Munster following last year's announcement of 500 new jobs, the majority of which will be based in the province.

"This appointment marks a pivotal moment for Accenture as we grow both as a whole across Ireland, and in the Munster region, since our beginnings in Ireland over 50 years ago," Alastair Blair, managing director of Accenture Ireland, said.

Healy, who holds a BSc in Business Information Systems and an MSc in Management Information Systems from University College Cork, previously worked at Accenture for 18 years, predominantly in the health and public service practice.

He rejoins the professional services giant from Avanade, its joint venture with Microsoft, where he served as country manager for Ireland for more than three years from launch in 2018.

Avanade, alongside Accenture, were recently named the 2021 Microsoft Global Alliance SI Partner of the Year for the 16th time and were also named Microsoft Ireland Country Partner of the Year 2021.
