Future Range, an IT services provider based in Dublin, has completed the acquisition of Limerick peer Garry IT Solutions.
Future Range principals Michael Rooney and Mark Butler became directors at Garry IT in May 2021.
Garry IT Solutions, led by Dan Garry and Dan Garry Jnr, booked a net loss of €95,000 in 2020 and had a net worth of €13,000 at year-end. December 2020 trade debtors were €170,000, up from €120,000 a year earlier.
Future Range says that Dan Garry will now head up the combine’s cybersecurity department.
According to Garry: “Joining forces with Future Range means Garry IT clients can now access additional services from our growing team of experts while continuing to benefit from the personalised and tailored services they received in the past.
“Our expertise and capabilities in cybersecurity has been transformational for us. We look forward to the challenges ahead.”
Roney and Butler assumed ownership of Future Range in December 2020 when they bought out Tom Haugh and Naoise Haugh. Michael Rooney had joined Future Range in 2017 as Director of IT Services.
Future Range had nine people on the payroll in 2020 and has plans to expand its headcount in the coming years.
“The acquisition of Garry IT provides additional resources for FutureRange and will enable us to scale our business,” said Rooney.
“I am particularly pleased that Future Range is attracting top talent like Daniel Garry, who will head up our security division.
Future Range was established in 1995 by Tom Haugh. The company says that clients span the agriculture, aviation and healthcare sectors.
