Ideas, creativity and strategic implementation will be celebrated at the 2022 Media Awards on April 28th at the RDS.
This year DMG Media Ireland has been nominated for Sales Team of the Year and recognised three times in the best sales initiative category.
The company, whose print and digital titles are read by a combined 3.6m Irish adults every month, is one of six nominees in the Sales Team category, alongside teams from Business Post, Digitize New Media, Global, Greencastle Media Group and PML Group.
DMG was also nominated for 'Social Plus by DMG Media - a David and Goliath...', 'RollerCoaster.ie Mum & Baby Gift Box', and 'Take 5 with Cadbury Snack & DMG Media' in the best sales initiative category at the annual media industry awards.
Elsewhere, the company picked up nominations in the Best Use of Data/Economics and the Best Use of Sponsorship, the later for EVOKE.ie's title sponsorship of the FAI Women's Cup.
RollerCoaster.ie's nod in the Media Brand of the Year field, which it will contest with Business Post, Digitize, Greencastle, Mediahuis and Sky Media, means that DMG received a total of seven nominations
In the other major categories, Havas, Mediacom, Mindshare, OMD, PHD and Spark Foundry are in contention for Media Agency of the Year (ROI or NI), with Mediacom Spark Foundry (twice), PHD Media with Boys & Girls joining Starcom in the Best Long-Term Media Strategy field.
PHD, Business Post and Mediahuis also feature alongside Mammoth and News UK & Ireland in the Best Use of National Print and Digital category, while Mediaworks, UM, Havas, Spark Foundry, Sky Media and Starcom will vie for the Best Use of AV prize.
Best Use of Out of Home will be contested by PHD, Talon Ireland & Blood Advertising, PML, OMD & Talon, DOOH.com, and OMD, while Core Sponsorship, Media Central & Mediaworks and audioXI & Carat Ireland join Starcom, Mammoth, Mindshare, OMD in the Best Use of Audio category.
Core, Poster Plan & Mindshare, Dublin Airport Media Sales, PHD, Carat & RTE, and Zenith have been selected in the Best Use of Content/Creative category, while the Best Research Initiative award will be won by one of Global, Havas, Mediacom, Mindshare, Zahra Media Group or PML.
Media Central & Carat, PHD & Virgin, Carat & RTE, RTE & Spark Foundry, Dentsu X & RTE, and OMD & Virgin are the nominees for Collaboration between Agency and Media Owner
Fiona Murphy of Havas, Lauran Kavanagh of Omnicom, Leah Hughes of PHD, Romy Leitch of Digitize, Sarah McGovernn of News UK & Ireland, and Sinead Griffin of Mediacom have been nominated for the rising star award.
Both Carat and Zenith have two nominations for Media Campaign - Launch alongside OMD and Havas, while Media Campaign Medium/Small will be contested by Javelin, Wavemaker, Mediacom, Mammoth, PHD and Havas.
The Media Campaign - Large field will comprise of PHD, Spark Foundry, Mindshare, OMD, Greencastle and Genesis for their work with Diageo, the HSE, the Irish Cancer Society, Jacobs, Vodafone X, and the NI Statistics & Research Agency, respectively.
