The founder of a Ukrainian creative advertising agency has called on the Irish advertising industry to consider working with freelance Ukrainian talent for upcoming briefs as Russia's invasion of the country enters its third month.
The latest episode of advertising podcast 'I Love That Ad' has been dedicated to the creative work being produced by Ukrainian agencies, exploring several campaigns that have been created over the past couple of months since the start of the war.
Special guest Olga Kokoshko, founding partner of Ukrainian marketing firm Nebo Ideas Agency, details the struggles of running a creative agency during the conflict, including a team that is scattered across Europe, finding creative briefs to support staff's families, and searching for a "war-life balance".
Aaron Chalke, managing director of creative studio Foe, which produces 'I Love That Ad', said: "As the war continues to rage on, we wanted to do our small part to give a voice to creatives who now need it most.
"We’ve dedicated this episode of 'I Love That Ad' to showcase this talent, hearing directly from the incredible Ukrainian creative agency Nebo.
"Through this episode we can see the amazing creative response to the war, and find out how our Irish creative industry can help our Ukrainian colleagues.”
Nebo is collaborating with creative agencies around the globe and has launched a campaign with Weiden+Kennedy Amsterdam and Adweek this week.
Foe works with creative agencies and has produced content and brand films for the likes of the HSE, Liberty Insurance, AIB and Glenveagh Homes. The full episode can be listened to at www.workwithfoe.ie/podcast or wherever you get your podcast.
