IAPI appoints Abi Moran as vice-president

The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) has appointed Folk Wunderman Thompson CEO Abi Moran as vice president of the representative body for Irish advertising agencies.

Moran has served on the IAPI board since her election in 2019, and over the past 20 years she has worked with brands such as Vodafone, Lidl, An Post, Bord Gáis Energy, Irish Life, and Brennans.

Folk has worked with some of Ireland's largest brands on their sustainability in the past few years, and Moran has also headed up the IAPI's sustainability agenda, proposing to bring the UK's Ad Net Zero emissions reduction plan for the advertising industry to Ireland.

Commenting on the appointment Sean Hynes, president of the IAPI and creative director of Bonfire, said: "Having someone of Abi’s calibre as Vice President is a real plus for IAPI and we’re very fortunate to have her onboard.

Moran said she is "both pleased and also a little daunted to be IAPI’s new Veep.
