Online retailer Littlewoods Ireland has announced it has rebranded as Very, bringing the company in line with parent the Very Group's lead retail brand in the UK.

Existing customers will not to make any changes to their account, which will be transferred over to the newly rebranded website.

Headquartered in Blanchardstown, the company has traded in Ireland for over 40 years, starting as a catalogue retailer before transitioning online and now employs more than 50 people across marketing, logistics, compliance, customer care and finance.

Very estimates that it has more than 350,000 customers and delivers 2m parcels in Ireland annually. Its lifestyle website attracts 38m visits per year, with annual sales exceeding €125m.

Speaking at the launch of Very in Ireland, Rossa Butler, managing director for Ireland at Very, said: “We have a 40-year history serving families in Ireland as well as a passion for reinvention, having transformed from offline to online, catalogue to digital, and fashion to lifestyle retailer. Today’s announcement is the latest chapter in our story.

“We’re already the biggest multi-category digital retailer in Ireland, with more than 1,800 famous brands across home, fashion, electrical, toys and beauty. Now, as Very, I’m delighted customers can access a host of new brands and convenient services to further improve their experience of shopping with us.”

Brands sold by Very include Dyson Supersonic, Estee Lauder Fragrances, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith and COACH as well as Irish brands like SOSU Cosmetics and Dripping Gold Luxury Tan by SJ, Bare by Vogue, Cocoa Brown, The Handmade Soap Company and We are Paradoxx.

Very now offers next-day delivery and free click-and-collect, and said it would announce more brands and services in early 2023.

Catherine O’Toole, head of marketing for Ireland at Very, added: “Today is a really exciting next step in the evolution of our business and we have ambitious plans to grow among new and existing customers in Ireland.

"We will do this by continuing to offer the brands that our customers love, whilst offering a simple digital customer experience and flexible payment options.” 

Integrated digital retailer and flexible payments provider the Very Group has 4.8m customers and revenues of €2.7bn in the UK and Ireland. The company operates both Very.co.uk and Littlewoods.com and sells products across electrical, homeware and fashion categories.
