Waterford-based restaurant delivery system VROMO has joined up with Spanish delivery tech company Glovo to improve and expand its services to restaurants and takeaways.

According to Vromo, strategic partnerships in the food delivery industry are proving essential in order to ensure a sustainable delivery model for restaurants that want to capture more customers and increase revenue, hence the partnership.

Vromo says that its dispatching software is designed specifically for the restaurant sector, and works with restaurant brands that use their own in-house delivery teams, local third party fleets, or a combination of both.

The software tool automates delivery management and offers features that include driver arrival time, order stacking, branded order tracking, and an overflow feature whereby deliveries can be redirected to third-party drivers when the core delivery team is not available.

Glovo’s multi-category app connects customers, couriers,  restaurants, grocery chains, pharmacies and retail stores, and also includes an “anything” category that allows customers to order whatever they want.

Now, says Vromo, access to the platform will mean its delivery management software will be available in Glovo territories including south-west Europe, eastern Europe, Central Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Chief executive Brian Hickey (pictured above) said: “Vromo was designed to help restaurants meet their customers' expectations around food delivery in the most efficient way possible.
