Kia appoints Cathal Kealey as Head of Marketing

Kia Ireland has announced the appointment of Cathal Kealey as Head of Marketing and PR. He replaces Aidan Doyle who retires in early October.

Kia said that Kealey has a wealth of automotive experience in product and marketing communications gained from management roles in VW, Skoda and most recently as head of marketing with Citroen Ireland.

“I’m delighted to be joining such an innovative brand at an exciting time for the automotive industry,” said Kealey.

“Kia has excelled in the area of electrification in recent years, and with a strong pipeline of new vehicles I have no doubt Kia will continue to strengthen its place as one of the top automotive brands in Ireland over the coming years.”

Kia Ireland managing director Ronan Flood commented: “Kia is now the number four brand in Ireland and we are now firmly established as a top five manufacturer in the country and also as one of the leading brands helping Ireland achieve its EV targets. We are confident that Cathal will help Kia go from strength to strength.“

A graduate of University of Limerick, and native of Offaly, Kealey lives in Kildare with his wife and two daughters.

A previous captain of the Kinnitty Senior Hurling Team, Kealey has now retired from playing but is still a keen GAA enthusiast.
