Irish cashless tipping start-up Strikepay has been announced among the winners at the inaugural Financial Services Awards, alongside the likes of Bank of Ireland, Revolut, and Liberty Insurance.
The Dublin fintech firm won the FS Challenger Award for disruptive innovation and for using international financial services solution to derive a competitive advantage.
The award was one of 12 presented at the gala luncheon attended by 300 people at the Mansion House in Dublin on Thursday.
Announcing the winners, Tracey Carney, managing director of the FS Awards, said: “The FS Awards were established to recognise excellence and innovation in financial services.
"Strikepay were awarded for their efforts to combine technology and tipping services so that hospitality businesses all over Ireland can benefit from its use. The quality and quantity of nominees for the inaugural awards this year was truly impressive.

Retail chain Spar last year trialled a digital ‘Smart Poster’ collection solution using Strikepay technology that enabled customers donate to Make-A-Wish Ireland via their mobile phones.
