Virgin Media has launched a new ultrafast broadband service, which the company says is the fastest broadband service yet launched in Ireland.
Available in almost 750,000 premises across the country, Virgin Media said its fibre-powered network can now provide customers with broadband speeds of up to 360MB per second, more than three times faster than other broadband services. .
Customers who select Virgin Media’s new 360MB broadband will also receive free calls to landlines and mobiles, in 22 countries, at a cost of €30 per month for the first four months and €60 per month thereafter.
Bill Blake (pictured), Virgin Media’s head of commercial and products, said that the 360MB service is at the core of his firm’s next-generation WiFi and telephony modem, otherwise known as the Virgin Media Hub.
Blake added: “The Virgin Media Hub has been designed with ease-of-use in mind, featuring a simplified LED display and an install wizard that enables our customers to set up and customise their home WiFi service quickly and easily.”
There is also the option to add TV to the broadband bundle, giving customers access to services such as Replay and Startover TV, Horizon Go and My Prime. Customers can also add mobile too with unlimited data, calls and texts, free for four months.
