The Food Safety Consultative Council (FSCC) of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) will host an event focused on the evolution of online food delivery, the food safety considerations of consumers, business and regulators, and keeping pace in the rapidly innovating food sector.

The open meeting, taking place online from 2-4pm this Thursday (17 November), will examine a number of topics, including how consumers must be able to trust in food safety and hygiene practices, and the importance of operators and innovators adhering to food safety and food hygiene legislation.

Attendees will also hear how regulators can best support the sale and supply of safe food online as consumers seek convenience, choice and home delivery.

The event is an opportunity for consumers, industry and regulators to learn more about developments and trends in online sales, supply and distribution of food.
