Flexible workplace provider Huckletree Dublin has reached occupancy rates of 98% after seeing growth in occupancy of 35% this year.
The company now hosts over 80 companies including Starling Bank, Tines, NewsWhip and Axonista at the 30,000 sq ft Academy building on Pearse Street as it celebrates its fifth anniversary.
Huckletree, which focuses on attracting tech start-ups and scale-ups, also has five hubs in the UK, and is supported by ambassadors including Dee Coakley, Pete Townsend, and Edel Coen.
Following a spate off layoffs in tech, Huckletree co-founder Andrew Lynch said: “The tech industry is no stranger to change and external pressures and there's no denying that we are moving into a period of uncertainty.
"Sustainable, steady growth must be the key focus for tech companies going forward. Now more than ever, shared workspaces and communities like ours should be spaces where people can gather to seek advice, guidance, pivot, innovate and navigate this period together.
"We really believe in strength in numbers, and the power of network."
As part of celebrations to commemorate five years in business, Huckletree will hold The Great Gathering, a campaign to celebrate "the importance of gathering with purpose" with a series of events.
“People are looking for interesting opportunities that support their learning and development, and spontaneous moments that harness their creativity at work," commented Aislinn Mahon, head of ecosystems at Huckletree.
In addition, Huckletree has released The Great Gathering Zine, a playbook for business leaders, creatives and entrepreneurs.
"We spend a lot of time designing our events and experiences at Huckletree across our hubs, researching topics that will resonate with our members and spark lively debate and meaningful conversation."
The company is seeking new locations in Dublin 2 and Dublin 8 and has already identified potential opportunities. Huckletree previously announced the launch of a fintech-focused hub at the Oval in Ballsbridge in 2019.
Accounts for Huckletree (Dublin) Ltd show the company had net liabilities of €1.4m at the end of March after making a loss of €24,000 in the previous 12 months, an improvement from the €67,000 loss made in 2019-20.
