Arthur Cox has promoted senior associates Jacinta Conway and Amy McDermott as partners in the law firm.
Conway specialises in Environment and Planning while McDermott works in the Corporate and M&A division.
Managing partner Geoff Moore commented: “Jacinta and Amy are both committed to working closely with their clients so they can deliver commercially-focused, practical advice in today’s uncertain environment.
“I am also very pleased to announce the appointment of two female partners, as a key priority area for the firm is the promotion of further gender diversity and supporting women to reach leadership positions.”
Arthur Cox has 100 partners and 740 members of staff, with offices in Dublin, Belfast, London, New York and San Francisco.
The firm said that Jacinta Conway has a special focus on the renewable energy, waste and natural resources sectors, and specialises in de-risking projects at the outset of their life cycle.
She has extensive litigation experience in planning and environmental judicial review challenges, planning injunction proceedings and criminal enforcement prosecutions.
Conway, a UCG graduate, joined Arthur Cox in 2017 and previously worked at Philip Lee and Ivor Fitzpatrick.
Amy McDermott’s areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, loan portfolio sales, joint ventures and private equity transactions. She has particular experience in transactions and advisory work in the renewable energy, infrastructure and financial services sectors.
McDermott was a lateral hire for Arthur Cox in 2018 when she joined from Eversheds Sutherland. She graduated from TCD in 2010 and did a Masters in UCL.
