Mazars announces two new tax and audit partners

Mazars has announced the appointments of Claire Healy and Bruno Barros as partners across tax and audit.

Healy has been made a tax partner, and Barros has been named IT audit partners at the audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm.

Speaking at the joint announcement, Tom O’Brien, managing partner of Mazars in Ireland, commented, “I am delighted to announce the appointments of Claire and Bruno as partners to the firm. These appointments demonstrate our commitment to investing and developing senior talent within the firm.

A chartered tax adviser with 14 years' experience, Healy joined the international tax team at Mazars in 2013 after completing training with a Big Four firm in Dublin.

She has specialist knowledge in foreign direct investment, international corporate structuring, and transfer pricing, and she holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from DCU.

Healy will act as a tax partner in the international tax team with responsibility for developing and growing Mazars' FDI and transfer pricing business.

Barros has 17 years' experience working as an IT auditor across a broad range of clients and industries. He is a qualified financial auditor and IT auditor, having trained with a Big Four firm in Brazil, before moving to Ireland and joining Mazars in 2018.

He combines both technical IT and financial audit skills and will act as the IT audit partner, supporting Mazars' large external audit client base.

Barros holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Accounting, and he is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) as well as a member of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2).

Mazars Ireland has 33 partners and over 600 staff based in Dublin, Galway and Limerick.
