IAPI's Charley Stoney appointed to EACA board of directors

Charley Stoney, CEO of the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI) has been named as chair of the European Association of Communication Agencies' (EACA) National Agencies' Associations Council.

Stoney also becomes the first Irish person to sit on the EACA board of directors, joining Doris Danner, vice president of TBWA, who has been appointed chair of the International Agencies' Council.

The EACA Management Committee also has three new additions: Lisa Humphreys, EMEA COO at GroupM; Rlikka-Maria Lemminki, managing director of Marketing Finland; and Patou Nuytemans, EMEA CEO at Ogilvy.

The new appointments will be effective this month, and they will work together on EACA projects around sustainability, diversity, equity & inclusion, talent, health communications, procurement and much more.

“I am honoured to be joining such a strong leadership team and believe that EACA provides very tangible and vital support to its members," Stoney said.

Danner commented: "I am very happy and excited to be part of the EACA leadership team and to chair the International Agencies’ Council.

"We have many important topics to work on and bring valuable solutions for our members. Looking forward to getting started together with the team.”

Christian de la Villehuchet, President of EACA, said: "So many new and exciting additions to EACA's board and management team. They are all bringing their extensive association and agency experience to the mix, further building on our organisation's multiculturality.
