Rise Up, billed as a network for women to take control of their careers, is organising an event to celebrate International Women's Day.
Rise Up Together on March 3 is a lunchtime event in Dublin 2, priced at €30, where speakers will include Dr Andrea C. Johnson of Workhuman, psychologist Dr Celine Mullins, and menopause specialist Dr Caoimhe Hartley.
Rise Up offers a range of resources such as inclusion strategy design, career development workshops and programmes, as well as 1:1 career planning and mentorship support.
Founder Susan Dwyer commented: “Rise Up is a private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women leaders from all backgrounds.
“Our membership consists of thousands of emerging and existing female leaders working at some of the fastest growing companies across Ireland. We pride ourselves on creating safe spaces for women to come together to connect, learn and grow.”
According to Dwyer, women face obstacles in workplaces, from pay disparities to unconscious bias.
“We work closely with employers who are looking to improve inclusion, retain top talent and create impactful initiatives to accelerate gender equality in the workplace,” Dwyer added.
“We all know women make great leaders, this is not up for debate. It’s about what companies are doing to nurture, develop and retain this talent. This is what we need to focus on.”
"I believe that when women are given the right tools and support they need to succeed, everyone wins."
