IT infrastructure company Service Express has announced the opening of a new base in Dublin to take advantage of the presence of many of the world's leading technology companies in Ireland.

The Michigan-headquartered company said that establishing a site in Dublin, staffed by engineers, would lead to increased service coverage for its customers and partners.

The firm first established a European presence in 2000 with offices in Bedford, London and Wetherby, and it has plans to grow operations across Europe over the next few years.

The data centre solutions provider offers global multivendor maintenance, hybrid cloud, managed infrastructure services, hardware solutions, among other services

“Our world-class IT infrastructure solutions can now be delivered directly to Irish businesses across all industries, and we look forward to deepening our relationship with our current customers and partners in Ireland," said Ron Alvesteffer, president and CEO of Service Express.

“Ireland has a strong reputation for IT hardware and software engineers, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to expand our engineering capability to support customers into Ireland," she continued.

"We have customers across many key industries in Ireland, such as financial services, retail and pharmaceutical industries. We plan to grow our engineering operations in Ireland as we expand this business.

"Our engineers have expertise with major technology companies such as IBM.”
