The SEAI’s Energy Show, seen as highly successful in 2015, is back at the RDS in Dublin next month. Including an electric vehicle pavilion with test drives, best practice retrofit demonstrations and a wide range of workshops and briefings, the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland’s business event promises an effective networking opportunity for those in the sector, and a window to wider international opportunities.

This year the SEAI expects the show to top 4,000 visitors, many of them attracted by the availability of representatives from embassies and overseas trade organisations who will discuss opportunities in their countries, ranging from Argentina and Brazil to Canada, Romania and the Czech Republic.

Last year more than 3,800 people attended and, according to the SEAI, 75% of visitors identified new suppliers while 91% of the more than 160 exhibitors found the event was worthwhile.

Electric Vehicles

Topics scheduled for the Energy Theatre range from energy project financing through marine and wind energy to energy research, energy efficiency and how to popularise electric vehicles in Ireland.

The SEAI is targeting “anyone interested in energy management and sustainability, from small business to large industry and from public bodies to community organisations,” and promises them a helicopter view of the latest innovations in energy efficiency, and the opportunity to debate the future of sustainable energy in Ireland.
