Fitzers Catering is looking at an additional revenue stream exceeding €2m over the next three years after being awarded a catering contract by the Law Society of Ireland.
The contract embraces the Law Society’s headquarters at Blackhall Place in Dublin, a historic building dating back to 1671, which is also a venue for weddings and corporate events.
As well as the corporate and private events, the Blackhall Place contract includes a number of audiences including more than 400 students, plus visitors to the Four Courts in the resident Friary Café. It can also tap into the society’s extensive payroll of no less than 200 employees.
Fitzers Catering also holds contracts for venues such as CCD, Titanic Belfast, Slane Castle, the Royal College of Physicians and Horse Racing Ireland locations — Leopardstown, Fairyhouse and Navan.
Stained Glass
Blackhall Place has capacity for up to 180 guests. The walled gardens can be used to host large events or wedding parties in a marquee, with photo opportunities. The President’s Hall in the in the building features Georgian plasterwork, and a beautiful stained glass window by renowned Irish artist Evie Hone.
Fitzers said it will “provide sumptuous food, outstanding service and experienced beverage teams who will assist clients in choosing the perfect wine matches for each event”.
Fitzers MD Barry Storey said: “We believe that working together with the Law Society we can increase awareness of this historic venue to the corporate and wedding market in Ireland and abroad. Over the coming months and years we plan to increase the number of external bookings with blue chip companies, and also break into the lucrative wedding market.

The company recently moved into new headquarters in Citywest, complete with state-of-the-art kitchens, where it employs 50 full time staff.
