Two women entrepreneurs, Niamh Banks and Virginie Vuillaume, have joined forces to bring south Dublin consumers a new experience of wellness and lifestyle with quality, ethical and natural cosmetics in one shop.
The two had a chance encounter during which they realised that they shared a strong passion for quality ethical and natural products. Understanding that there is a gap in the market and growing demand by health-conscious consumers for authentic skincare and make-up products, they decided to collaborate and combine their existing loyal customer base.
Banks founded Seven Wood, a lifestyle and wellness company in early 2015, with a collection of products encompassing homewares, furniture and bodycare. In conjunction with the online store, she set about doing pop-up stores, starting in the Fumbally Exchange in Dame Lane, then moving to Ranelagh, where Seven Wood has taken up an extended stay.
Vuillaume, who has been running the Virginie Claire Health and Beauty salon since 1996, created V Claire Natural Cosmetics Distribution in 2006, and her PHYT’S skincare and Couleur Caramel Makeup, which are bio-certified and 100% natural, are distributed in over 160 outlets across Ireland. Her focus is to educate consumers on the benefits of using natural ingredients.
Their event starts this evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm with a talk by Vuillaume on skincare and the benefits of natural cosmetics, followed by a demonstration on skincare and makeup by Dearbhla Brennan, resident makeup artist at V Claire.
And on Friday and Saturday all day, skincare advice and flash makeup will be available in the Seven Wood shop.
