Spanish Point Technologies becomes first Irish company to receive Microsoft AI specialisation

Software company Spanish Point Technologies has become the first indigenous company in the Republic of Ireland to earn the Microsoft Azure Specialisation to Build and Modernise AI Apps.

The specialisation is one of a number offered by Microsoft to partner companies, which must meet stringent criteria around customer success and staff skilling.

They must also pass a third-party audit of their web workload deployment and management practices, including their ability to implement Azure App Service, Microsoft's fully managed platform for creating web applications

The specialisation is intended to showcase Spanish Point Technologies' technical expertise and commitment to delivering world-class AI solutions.

The company also has a specialisations in app development and modernisation.

Andrew Smith, general manager for partner program management at Microsoft, added, “The Modernisation of Web Applications to Microsoft Azure Specialisation highlights the partners who can be viewed as most capable when it comes to migrating, modernising, and managing web applications in Microsoft Azure.

A study by Forrester Consulting commissioned by Microsoft recently found that a composite organisation representative of interviewed customers realised significantly improved business outcomes with Microsoft Azure app innovation products, including 1.5 months faster time to market for new apps, up to a 25% increase in developer efficiency and up to a 25% reduction in app downtime.

The company believes AI technology will help businesses to streamline processes through app and database services that "simplify the market, build opportunity, and impact recurring revenue streams.

"Businesses can leverage AI services to build intelligent apps, create custom copilots, and enhance products with Azure OpenAI Service."
