Ohk Energy (formerly NRG Panel) has acquired Crest Pro Power and Pro-Ex Engineering (together“CPP”), providers of renewable technology solutions to commercial and industrial customers.

CPP is the fifth such acquisition in the Ohk Energy Group.

Ohk Energy is backed by Irish private equity firm Melior Equity Partners and employs in excess of 225 people across Ireland.

Led by Brian Healy, CPP designs, builds and installs renewable energy solutions to allow commercial and industrial customers to take control of their own electricity supply, by self-generating and storing energy using Solar PV and Energy Storage Systems.

CPP has serviced some of Ireland’s largest businesses and has delivered single projects in excess of 4MW (megawatts), offering both capex and energy-as-a-service solutions.

Business Bulletin

Melior originally partnered with NRG Panel in October 2023 and invested into JFW Renewables in April 2024.

The group was rebranded as Ohk Energy in July 2024.

Ohk Energy services residential, business, local authority and utility customers across the island of Ireland from locations in Monaghan, Galway, Dublin, Cork, Tipperary, Sligo and Mayo.

The acquisition of CPP will expand Ohk’s existing capabilities in the commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors, servicing SME to grid-scale solar PV systems and providing biofuel generation, energy monitoring and battery energy storage systems (BESS) to its customers.

Healy will lead Ohk Energy’s commercial division and join the group’s senior management team.

The group will continue to add new capabilities through select acquisitions with Melior’s support.

CPP Founder, Brian Healy said, “I am excited to integrate Crest Pro Power and ProEx Engineering into Ohk Energy, further solidifying our position as a leading renewable energy company in Ireland. Backed by Melior Private Equity, this merger brings together unparalleled expertise to enhance our ability to deliver world-class renewable solutions.”

Commenting on the announcement, Ohk Energy CEO, Conor Foley said, “Crest Pro Power has provided world-class renewable energy solutions to some of Ireland’s most sophisticated FDI and indigenous businesses.

“Their design capabilities, engineering-led approach and track record in providing fully financed solutions complements Ohk’s existing experience in the commercial and industrial market.
