Spectrum.Life appoints ex-Microsoft executive Andrew Macadam as VP of customer operations

Dublin-based digital mental health and wellbeing business Spectrum.Life has appointed Andrew Macadam as vice president of customer operations.

Macadam formerly served as Microsoft's global managing director for start-ups and will lead key operational and customer-focused initiatives at Spectrum.Life.

He will also oversee client delivery, marketing and non-clinical operations while driving the company’s business systems, tendering processes, and project management frameworks.

Additionally, he will tasked with transforming Spectrum.Life’s end-to-end product lifecycle.

Prior to Microsoft, where he held senior leadership roles and worked closely with industry leaders to drive transformative business strategies, Macadam served as head of digital at Vodafone Ireland, handling all digital sales and marketing activities.

Macadam's professional qualifications include an MBA from Henley Business School and a coaching certification from UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School, and he is also a board advisor to multiple tech companies.

Spectrum.Life has recently grown its headcount to 320 people, including 180 clinicians, and plans to add 200 new roles in the UK, Ireland and remotely by the end of 2025 in order to scale its services globally.

The company, which is headquartered in Ireland and has offices in Dublin and Manchester, has over 10m insurance members, 4,000 corporate clients, and 650,000 students from 50+ universities that use its clinically-backed, AI-driven solutions.

Spectrum.Life completed a €5m funding round in early 2023, and has raised some €9m to date. The firm increased turnover from €10.7m to €17.1m that year whil reducing its operating losses from €3.3m to €2.8m.
