More than two-thirds (68%) of people are yet to book their 2025 holiday, and nearly half of people (48%) are waiting for a better deal to arrive, Click&Go has found in a new survey.

A further 22% said they do not feel they are ready to book, and financial considerations remain a factor for one in 10 of those who have delayed their holiday plans.

Sun holidays are the top choice among those intending to book, with 60% planning a warm weather getaway, ahead of cruise holidays, city breaks, and trips to the US.

Despite many holding off booking, the vast majority of people (80%) still plan to take a trip this year, while 25% of respondents are planning to book their holiday by the end of March and 36% looking to finalise plans in April or May.

“It’s clear that consumers are holding back on booking their holidays in the hope that waiting will lead to a better deal," said Paul Hackett, CEO of Click&Go Holidays.

"However, we are seeing that bookings from other European countries are continuing as normal so prices are unlikely to fall.

68% of Click&Go survey respondents are yet to book their holiday for 2025.

"This year we did not see the usual January surge, but February sales have been strong. With Easter falling later this year, we expect March to be a particularly busy month for holiday bookings.”
