Employees at LotusWorks raised €25,000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation through a series of fundraising activities last year.
The funds have been split between the Make-A-Wish charities in Ireland and Arizona, where the foundation has its head office.
LotusWorks has now raised €50,000 for Make-A-Wish over the past two years.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation, which has operations globally, grants wishes to children who are living with life-threatening illnesses in order to bring hope, joy and lasting memories to each child and their families.
Fundraising activities completed by LotusWorks staff last year included a LotusTri, Family Theme Park Days, Christmas Bumper Raffle, Halloween Wear What You Wish Day, Olympic Sweepstake Raffle, Christmas Jumper Day, and Fantasy Football Leagues.
LotusWorks will continue to raise money for Make-A-Wish in 2025, and the company said it believes in the power of corporate social responsibility and in giving back to the community.
Founded in 1989, LotusWorks is a technical and engineering partner to clients in the semiconductor, data centre, pharmaceutical and medical device industries in both EMEA and North America and the firm employs more than 730 people.
The presentation to Make-A-Wish Ireland took place at LotusWorks HQ in Sligo earlier this month with LotusWorks COO Joseph Leydon presenting the cheque to Conor Stone, corporate partnership officer, with Make-A-Wish Ireland.
“We are proud to have witnessed the passion and dedication of our team in their wholehearted efforts to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation," said Leydon.
"They exemplified LotusWorks’ commitment to creating positive change and raising awareness and funds for those in need and allowed us to make a significant contribution to the dreams of children facing critical illnesses. We extend our thanks and gratitude to all participants.”
Chad Montoya, senior operations manager at LotusWorks USA, and Karen Ciofani, lead electrical estimator, visited the Make-A-Wish Arizona offices last month to present their share of the funds raised.
“Visiting the Make-A-Wish Arizona office was truly inspiring. I was amazed to learn that Make-A-Wish was founded right here in Phoenix, Arizona," said Montoya
"As a father of two, it really struck a chord with me, and hearing the stories of these incredible children – their strength, resilience, and unshakable hope – was deeply moving.
"Our co-worker Karen, who is also a mother, was visibly emotional as she listened to the stories, which made the experience even more powerful.

“Every donation from our 2024 fundraising efforts will help grant more wishes, bringing moments of happiness, hope, and lasting memories to these children and their families.
"Together, our collective contributions will make a real difference in brightening their lives, and it’s something we can all be incredibly proud of. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation with fundraising events throughout 2025.”
