Samantha Kearney has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer at Allianz Ireland.
The company said Samantha, who brings more than 17 years of industry experience to her new role, will also join the Board of Management.
She takes over from Aymeric Martin, who has moved to a new position at Allianz Commercial in Munich, as Chief Risk and Resilience Officer and as a member of the Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty Board of Management.
Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Ireland, Phillip Gronemeyer, said: “I’m delighted to announce Samantha Kearney as our new Chief Financial Officer.
“Samantha has been with Allianz for three years and, in that time, has shown strong leadership and strategic vision and has been invaluable to our company’s progress.
“With a wealth of experience in the insurance industry, we are confident that in this new role, Samantha will lead the company’s finance strategy and contribute to a strong future for Allianz Ireland and our policyholders.
"This appointment reflects the strength and depth of talent we have here in Allianz Ireland.”
Samantha is a Chartered Accountant who has been with Allianz since 2022.
In her role as Head of Planning and Data Insights, she led the strategic and financial planning for the company while also developing and implementing the data and AI strategy.
Prior to joining Allianz, Samantha spent ten years with Zurich Insurance Group, working in Dublin, London, and Sydney in various financial reporting, planning and performance roles.
Commenting on her appointment, Kearney said: “Since joining Allianz in 2022, I have been fortunate to work alongside a talented and driven team of insurance leaders.
