The first TEDx event in Drogheda has wealth as its theme - but not just the foldingh stuff.
The event was launched by entrepreneur and Dragons' Den panellist Gavin Duffy and will take place in the Droichead Arts Centre on September 17.
Orla Moloney of Droichead Arts Centre said: “We are interested in asking whether the concept of FutureWealth is related to money, or whether it involves something much broader such as creativity, social equality, health or environment.
“TEDx Drogheda represents technology, the arts, education, youth programmes, business and not-for-profit organisations. Our common aim is to reach a diverse cross-section of our community and ensure a truly inspirational set of topics and talks.”
Because TEDx events are designed to be intimate events that provoke discussion and promote connection, the seating at TEDx Drogheda will be limited to 100 people.
Graham O’Rourke of The Mill Enterprise Hub said: “We are seeking an audience representing the broadest possible range of the community, including local residents and other members of the general public who are inspired by ideas and interested in connecting with others who share the same passion for knowledge.”
Tickets will be available online from August 15, priced at €30 with concession price of €15 for seniors, students and benefit claimants.
