Construction is underway on Dublin city quayside's newest office block. a 125,000 square foot office building on Hanover Quay and Grand Canal Dock called the 'Reflector'.

Costing €100m to build, the office block will have 75 metres of frontage on the waterside, is due for completion by Park Developments in 2018, and will be able to accommodate over 1,000 workers.

With six storeys over a basement level, the Reflector has floor plates of 23,000 sq. ft. and will be finished to LEED Gold V4 accreditation and A3 BER Certification. The building can be split into two wings with separate entrances and reception areas, with clear ceiling heights of  four metres throughout, both with their own terraces.  It has been designed to be easily split to accommodate requirements of all sizes from 500 square metres up.

Space along the south-facing waterfront will be maximised, and the block will include 40 one to three-bedroom apartments and a single 3,500 sq. ft retail/restaurant space.

According to real estate company Savills, which is adviser to the project, the building, designed by BKD Architects, features a layout that provides contemporary and flexible buildings. The exterior mesh design element will provide solar shading without affecting views from within. This feature will be framed within a stone-clad structure elevated above the street level.
