Sigmar Recruitment has officially opened its European Talent Hub in Tralee, bringing more than 50 jobs for recruiters to the region who will focus on finding international talent for global markets from the Kerry base.
The Sigmar employees in Kerry will fill roles in IT for European markets with candidates from other countries.
Sigmar’s ‘European Recruitment Model’ (ERM) foresees that the market will expand into Europe but the operation serving the market becoming more mobile and remote and can move from major cities to a rural environment.
This shift from city operation to rural, the company says, can offer well-paying careers to individuals who might otherwise need to relocate to find such employment. Its new ERM does not require that candidates have a third level qualification, which was traditionally the case in recruitment.
Chief executive Adrian McGennis said: “In my 25 years in recruitment, I have never seen such a development and am delighted that it is Sigmar that is shaping the future of recruitment.
“A leading Irish company in partnership with a €1 billion French company develops process and technology that creates the need to recruit 60 people in Kerry to place IT talent from all parts of Europe into the German market."
Sigmar has filled 20 of the initial 50 positions at its Talent Hub and is seeking candidates for at least 30 more. The company wants to hear from applicants from all backgrounds regardless of experience or education.
Earlier this year, Sigmar announced a strategic partnership with French staffing giant Groupe Adéquat, structured through a staged equity investment over a five-year period that will see Groupe Adéquat take a majority interest. At present, the company employs 125 staff.
Groupe Adéquat has annual turnover of €1 billion and employs more than 1,000 people.
