The 4 star Clayton Hotel Charlemont has opened its doors on Charlemont Street in Dublin 2, integrating three 18th century Georgian buildings with a four-storey new build a the back.
The hotel has 189 bedrooms, fitness suite, six meeting rooms, Gaudens Restaurant and the Lockside Bar.
General manager Lynn Cawley said: “Careful consideration has been taken in creating this beautiful hotel. From honouring the heritage of the Georgian buildings to adding new architecture to the Dublin city landscape, Clayton Hotel Charlemont is a truly unique hotel."
The restaurant gets its name from sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, who was born in 35 Charlemont Street. The Lockside Bar, says Cawley, features Old World wines and cocktails from mixologist Alfredo Marques, as well as ‘small plate’ dishes.
The lobby will serve Red Bean Roastery Coffee, a coffee blend exclusive to hotels within the Dalata Group. A standalone Red Bean Roastery Coffee Shop is set to open next door to the hotel in early 2019.
Dalata Hotel Group says the new hotel represents a €40m investment.
