The Institute of Public Administration has officially launched the 53rd edition of its celebrated IPA Diary, now known as Ireland: A Directory, and for the first time has included an app which allows full online access to all the directory’s details.
Approximately 9,000 organisations are included in the latest edition, including government departments, local authorities, voluntary agencies, trade and professional organisations, merchant banks, advertising agencies, third-level institutions, independent radio stations, the media and EU institutions.
It still remains as a desk diary, too, with a week-to-view diary for 2019 included in the 400-page hardback volume.
IPA director general Marian O’Sullivan said: “Whether you are in business, the media, the public sector or academia, ‘Ireland: A Directory 2019’ is an essential reference that enhances the work of professionals across Ireland every day. It is an aid to networking and helps navigate an ever-changing civil society.
“The directory, now in digital form for the first time, provides information on personnel listings across the public and private sector and is an indispensable window into the operations of Irish organisations country-wide.”
Enterprise minister Heather Humphreys commented: “The IPA should be applauded for publishing the latest volume of this vital resource for a remarkable 53rd year in a row. Ireland has evolved hugely over this period and it’s noteworthy that this directory is to be accompanied by an app this year for the first time, reflecting the changing nature of contemporary Ireland in the digital age.”
The directory and diary retails for €70, is available in all good bookshops and to order at sales@ipa.ie with free delivery nationwide.
