Primark will use the building as its international headquarters, overseeing its 293 stores spread over ten countries across Europe and the United States. The company is planning further expansion, with additional stores in the pipeline for the U.S. and Europe.

Speaking at the launch, Enda Kenny said that there was a wave of international expansion by Irish companies abroad, with Primark leading the charge.

He added: “I am proud to see this Irish company expanding across Europe and moving in to the USA and I commend the drive and initiative which is palpable as the brand continues on its global journey.”
