PwC has completed the relocation of its Galway office to city centre premises at One Galway Central.
The firm also announced plans to create around 40 new jobs in Galway over the next 12 to 18 months, which will bring its Galway headcount to 70 people.
Feargal O’Rourke, managing partner, said that Galway and the west region have strategic importance in the firm’s growth plans.
“Our move to One Galway Central demonstrates our belief in the Galway market and our firm’s commitment to further invest in the region,” O’Rourke stated. “It is a very important development for PwC, which enables us to grow, provide value to our clients and develop and retain key talent.”
Ken Johnson, senior partner and assurance leader in PwC Galway, noted that despite Brexit threats, Ireland’s continued robust economic performance is driving growth in the west. “We see significant opportunities for PwC to support indigenous and FDI businesses as they exploit this growth potential,” Johnson said.
“In the digital era, our new tech-enabled and centrally located office provides an attractive work environment where our clients and people can work together. Our expansion also gives graduates the opportunity to work and live locally while having the benefits of developing a successful career in a global organisation.”
