Aer Lingus plans to introduce limited premium seats on short-haul routes from September 2019.
Branded as AerSpace, the seats are first row window and aisle seats with the middle seat unoccupied. There will also be reserved cabin space overhead.
The AerSpace fare will also bundle complimentary lounge access, Fast Track security, priority boarding and on-board refreshments.
AerSpace seats can now be booked on most Aer Lingus short-haul flights from 1 September 2019.
On a midweek Dublin Heathrow flight in early September, the one-way AerSpace fare is €150. This compares with €129 for the Advantage fare, €96 for the Plus fare, and €56 for the Saver fare.
