Managed service provider Ekco has appointed Paul Nannetti as chair of its board of directors.
Nannetti has 22 years of experience in senior leadership roles in the global technology services industry and has held a series of board and chair positions at managed IT services companies.
He will work with Ekco's senior management to guide the company's strategic direction, and he will help to accelerate the firm's commercial momentum as it scales its security and cloud services offering in Ireland, the UK and the Netherlands.
Don Robert, the former chair, will continue to support Ekco as a founding partner within Corten Capital, the company's majority shareholder.
"It is a privilege to join Ekco at such a pivotal stage of its journey. The team has built a unique platform that combines local market intimacy with world-class cloud and security capability," said Nannetti.
"I look forward to working with Ekco’s management team to accelerate growth and realise Ekco’s full potential as a category leader in Cloud and Security managed services across Europe."
Nannetti also chairs Hippo, a full-service digital consultancy working in the UK public and private sectors, and Roboyo, a leading automation professional services company with a presence in 16 countries.
He previously served as chair of Arkphire and ANS and as a board member of Advania.
He chaired Arkphire through a highly successful scale-up and strategic sale, working closely with its founder and private equity backer.
Prior to his board and advisory roles, Paul was chief executive of Capgemini’s cloud infrastructure services division and a member of the group executive committee. He has also held senior roles in IBM and EY.
"We are thrilled to welcome Paul as our new Chair. His deep industry knowledge, international experience and proven leadership will be invaluable as we move into our next phase of growth," said Eoin Blacklock, founder and chief executive of Ekco.
"Paul brings not just vision, but hands-on operating expertise that will help us scale with discipline and ambition."

Joseph Schull, managing partner of Corten Capital, added: "Paul is an exceptional leader with a phenomenal track record of delivering transformational growth and value creation in B2B technology-driven businesses.
"His experience will be instrumental as we support Ekco’s growth and continue to build a market-leading European platform in managed cloud and cybersecurity services."
