Flynn O'Driscoll adds two partners following strategic mergers

Law firm Flynn O'Driscoll has announced a two lateral partner hires after completing the latest in a series of mergers last November.

Terry O'Malley has joined Flynn O'Driscoll from Eversheds Sutherlands as a partner in its real estate practice.

O'Malley spent the last seven years with Eversheds Sutherland, where he was also a partner, and he has extensive experience in all areas of real estate law, with a particular focus on social housing, retail, hospitality and industrial sectors.

Orlagh Caffrey, Lynda O’Neill, and Cliona Crowley have also joined the Flynn O'Driscoll real estate department from Eversheds Sutherland.

John Fitzgerald has been appointed as a partner and head of restructuring and insolvency, an areas which has seen some growth for the company.

Fitzgerald joins from Byrne Wallace Shields, where he was also head of restructuring and insolvency.

He has experience in other aspects of commercial litigation and investigations, including contract/property disputes, shareholder disagreements, and planning/environmental law challenges.

Fitzgerald brings over 20 years' experience and has worked on many of Ireland’s largest and most complex restructuring projects over his two decades long career to date.

"Joining Flynn O’Driscoll at such a pivotal moment in its journey and supporting clients of the firm as well as working with new colleagues is a fantastic opportunity," said Fitzgerald.

Since its foundation in 2002, Flynn O'Driscoll has grown to become a full-service law firm with offices in Dublin, Galway and Shannon.

The company has completed five strategic mergers to date, starting with with Cunningham McCormack in 2010 and most recently with Vincent & Beatty last November.
