Marketing insights and analytics company Kantar has announced Paul Zwillenberg as chief executive.

Zwillenberg will join the company later this month before assuming day-to-day leadership of the business on 1 January.

He joins from Accenture, where he was vice chair of reinvention and global leader of media and entertainment strategy, and he will be based in the US.

Zwillenberg has more than 30 years' experience across media, technology and entertainment and previously served as chief executive of Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT), the parent group of the Daily Mail.

At DMGT, he lead a strategic transformation across the portfolio of consumer media, events and information services companies, which enabled the business to be taken private in 2022.

Writing on LinkedIn, Zwillenberg said Kantar gives brands "the rigorous research and insight they need to reach more customers, better, faster and with greater relevance."

"I can't wait to join a business with such integrity, quality and strong talent and relationships at its heart, working with teams and partners to make Kantar as important, relevant and impactful for the next 50 years as it has been for the last 50."

Chris Jansen, who has led Kantar Group since July 2021 as well as the standalone Kantar brand business since January 2024, will lead the business until the end of the year to ensure a seamless transition before stepping down in early 2026.
