Irish developer of large scale solar and energy storage projects, Circal, has announced the appointment of Lorraine Wrafter as its Chairperson.
The Irish-based company has 4.5GW in combined capacity of active projects in Ireland and the USA.
New developments include two projects, circa 500MW near OpenAI and Oracle’s Stargate Data Centre in Texas and two significant solar farm projects with a combined capacity of 315MW currently in the planning process stretching across the Co. Limerick and Co. Kerry borders and separately in Co. Meath.
Wrafter is a non-executive director and Chartered Director with over 30 years of experience in global organisations with a proven track record in governance and organisational transformation.
Her experience spans agriculture, financial markets, food, FMCG, industrials, and renewables, from start-ups to mature businesses with roles in Belgium, Ireland, the UK, Switzerland, and the USA.
She currently serves on the Supervisory Board of Ignitis Group, a European renewable energy company, where she Chairs the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
She has previously held a number of international Board and Advisory Board roles with companies including Sadeem Technology, Thematiks and HACK -CMP.
Prior to this, she was M&A Integration Director with sustainable construction leader Holcim.
Wrafter also spent over 24 years with Cargill Food Ingredients where she held a number of roles, including Global Talent & Leadership Development Director; Business Transformation Director and Global Head of Talent Management.
