Audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm Forvis Mazars has appointed Marco Spagnuolo as a partner in its audit & assurance team.
Spagnuolo will lead corporate reporting & accounting advisory services for Forvis Mazars.
He was previously a partner at Deloitte South Africa, and brings almost 20 years of experience working with clients to solve complex corporate reporting and technical accounting challenges across various industries.

A Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and an affiliate of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI), Spagnuolo specialises in technical accounting (such as IFRS, FRS and US GAAP), guiding clients through the adoption of new standards, changes to existing ones and the application of accounting requirements to complex transactions such as IPOs, M&A transactions and share-based compensation schemes.
Spagnuolo also supports finance teams in leveraging technology to enhance corporate reporting. He has built strong alliances with SaaS solution providers to help clients automate and optimise reporting processes.
