McCann FitzGerald has appointed Mairéad Cullen to the newly created role of chief technology officer.

The corporate law firm said Cullen's appointment reflects its strategic focus and digital transformation.

Cullen most recently served as Vodafone Ireland's chief information officer and she has more than 30 years of experience in technology leadership.

She has led major transformation programmes across network, IT and digital domains, and currently serves as a non-executive director of .ie and Kinia.

As CTO, Cullen will have responsibility for McCann FitzGerald's technology strategy, ensuring digital capabilities enhance client service, operational excellence and long-term growth.

Business Bulletin

“The CTO role is central to McCann FitzGerald’s business strategy, and Mairéad’s appointment marks a pivotal moment in our digital journey," said Stephen Holst, managing partner at McCann Fitzgerald.

"As a member of the Executive Team, she will play a key role in shaping the firm’s future, from harnessing AI and emerging technologies to strengthening cybersecurity and enabling smarter ways of working.

"Her experience and leadership will help ensure our digital infrastructure and platforms meet the changing needs of our clients and our people."

Commenting on her appointment, Cullen said: "Emerging technologies like AI are reshaping how legal services are delivered, creating new opportunities to enhance value for clients and transform how firms operate.

"McCann FitzGerald is rightly embracing this shift by investing in intelligent, scalable platforms and embedding innovation and greater digital resilience into every part of the business. This is an exciting time for the firm, and I look forward to working with the excellent team here."
