Interdisciplinary legal and tax advisory services firm Orbitus has announced Eoin Casey as its new head of litigation.
The appointment is part of the company's wider expansion strategy, which includes the recent leasing of 5,000 square feet of office space in Tralee.
In his new role, Casey will lead Orbitus' litigation practice, offering legal services across multiple sectors as head of a growing team of solicitors.
Casey has over 15 years of specialised solicitor experience in litigation, and he will focus on managing complex dispute resolution cases and mentoring junior lawyers
Early in his career, he spent more than four years in Australia, where he was also admitted to practise and gained valuable international expertise in commercial litigation, with a particular focus on insolvency law and debt recovery.
Most recently, Casey was a senior litigation solicitor at Cork-based PJ O'Driscoll & Sons LLP for more than eight years, building a strong reputation for strategic legal advocacy across a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters as well as employment law.
Prior to that, he worked in general and commercial litigation with Dillon Solicitors in Dublin for two years.
“I feel very privileged to be a part of Orbitus’ growth strategy, and I am eager to contribute to the firm’s ongoing success. Joining at such a pivotal time, I look forward to collaborating with the talented team to deliver effective and strategic legal solutions tailored to our clients’ needs," said Casey.
"Supporting clients through their most complex challenges is a responsibility I take seriously, and I am committed to helping build a strong litigation practice that upholds Orbitus’ reputation for excellence.
"I am also looking forward to mentoring junior lawyers and trainees and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the firm”.
“We are delighted to welcome Eoin Casey to the team as Head of Litigation. His extensive experience and proven expertise will significantly strengthen our litigation practice as we continue to grow," said Tommy Walsh, tax partner at Orbitus.
"Eoin’s leadership will play a crucial role in supporting our clients through complex legal challenges, while also helping to develop the next generation of talent within Orbitus.

"His appointment reflects our commitment to strengthening our regional footprint in the South West and expanding the range of expert advisory services we offer to meet the evolving needs of our clients."
The new Tralee office is expected to support the creation of over 50 new roles across senior legal, tax, paralegal, administrative, and digital teams as Orbitus continues to scale its services into 2025.
