Law firm Flynn O’Driscoll has appointed Michael Hanley as a partner and head of its Banking and Finance department.
Hanley joins Flynn O’Driscoll from Hayes Solicitors where he led the Banking and Financial Services department.
FOD said Hanley’s primary focus is acting for corporate, mid-cap and SME borrowers, banks and direct funders on leveraged/acquisition finance and both dry and development real estate finance transactions.
He has extensive experience in the areas of restructuring and portfolio/bi-lateral off-market loan sales and acquisitions.
Also joining the firm from Hayes is associate Danny Heffernan, who will work with Hanley on a wide range of transactional mandates, with a particular focus on acquisition and real estate finance.
Heffernan’s main expertise is in real estate finance, both investment and construction, and he has acted on a broad range of construction projects including social housing developments, mixed-use developments, primary healthcare centres, schools, and office developments.
Heffernan has also acted on a number of commercial/ PRS residential real estate investment transactions.
Flynn O’Driscoll said its newly established Banking and Finance department will support the Corporate M&A teams “in delivering an integrated business and financial service to clients”.
Managing partner James Duggan commented: “The establishment of a new department is an exciting development for the Firm. Both Michael and Danny bring with them substantial experience.
"They will work closely with the firm’s corporate teams and provide an integrated market leading offering to existing clients, banks and alternative lenders, further developing our full-service strategy.”
