Forecourt and convenience retailer Circle K has opened its latest franchise location, the redeveloped Circle K Hinchy's, in Garryspillane, Co Limerick.
Hinchy's Garage was founded as vehicle repair business in 1979 and added a petrol forecourt seven years later. A shop and forecourt facilities have been added to the premises along with vehicle chargers, carwash facilities and customer toilets as part of the redevelopment.
Circle K said 15 full and part-time jobs would be created with the opening of the Hinchy's franchise. The company partners with independent retailers who then offer Circle K fuel and convenience products as part of the franchise agreement.
Circle K's retail network is made up of more than 410 stations across the island of Ireland, 160 of which are owned by the company and 250 by its independent retail partners.
"We are absolutely delighted to be launching another Circle K franchise location in Ireland and would like to welcome the entire team at Hinchy’s to the Circle K family," said Derek Nolan, senior director of retail operations for dealer and franchise at Circle K.
"We really looking forward to working closely with Jim Hinchy and his team as well as supporting them in serving the local community in Garryspillane."
JIm Hinchy commented: "The Circle K franchise is a perfect fit with our long-term strategy for future expansion and development. We are delighted to add the Circle K franchise to our existing Kia, Opel and Suzuki franchises."
Offering the Circle K deli menu, coffee, baked goods, soft serve ice cream and K-Freeze iced drink range, Circle K Hinchy's will be open from 7am-9pm from Monday to Saturday, and from 8am-8pm on Sundays.
Circle K employs around 2,300 people in its retail network, and the company also operates a commercial fuel business with 20 depots and two owned terminals nationwide.
It recently expanded into high street retail with the acquisition of 10 stores from Griffin Group.
