Sliderobes has refurbished its Dublin showroom in Ballymount as the Northern Ireland company celebrates 40 years of trading.

Sliderobes opened its first showroom in Dublin in 1983, introducing ‘made to measure’ sliding wardrobes to the Irish market.

Sliderobes creates and installs its bespoke furniture and storage solutions across 12 locations in the UK and Ireland, including Dublin, Limerick and Belfast.

The company’s operations in the Republic of Ireland are run by the Bowe family - David, Denis and Yvonne - whose late father Denis Snr took over the reins 34 years ago.

The Dublin showroom has been in its current location at the Red Cow Retail Centre in Ballymount since 2010. The company said the 4,000 sq ft space has undergone a full refurbishment to highlight Sliderobes’ range of modern interior design and storage solutions.

Customers can sample ten different room sets showing a variety of fitted furniture options, from traditional sliding bedroom wardrobes and walk-in spaces to fitted living room, dining room, home office and media units.

The company says its ‘Design Studio’ gives customers an opportunity to use 3D and Virtual Reality software to visualise how fitted furniture will look in their home.

The Sliderobes Group, headquartered in Belfast, was acquired in 2016 by Northern Ireland businessmen Mervyn McCall and Paul Rothwell.

“As our brand and market share has grown across Ireland in recent years, we knew it was time to invest in a renovation that perfectly demonstrates how we’ve evolved as a brand since then,” said Rothwell, group CEO.

Managing director David Bowe commented: “The showroom renovation is a great representation of who we are as a brand and perfectly shows off our variety of fitted furniture products.

“The customers we’ve had through the doors have all been blown away by the designs. It really shows them the quality of the Sliderobes product up close and helps give them a feel for how we can transform their space. We’re very excited about where this will take us as a business.”

Head of design Joanna Azevedo added: “The aim was to create a penthouse apartment feel, with bedroom, living room, dining and dressing room sets. We also wanted to inspire customers with our design ideas as they make their way around.”
