Wholesale telecoms network operator Enet has agreed a partnership with digital infrastructure platform provider EXA Infrastructure to facilitate high-speed optical network connections between data centres in Dublin and data centres in Europe and North America.

The agreement will enable connections to be made between the capital and 40 key data centres on the EXA Infrastructure network, the largest dedicated digital infrastructure platform connecting the two continents in locations including London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Marseilles and Milan and a variety of North American routes.

The National Broadband Plan subcontractor's international wave service will use London-based EXA Infrastructure's backhaul network to deliver connectivity and capacity in data centres for demanding applications such as ultra HD video content and Internet of Things products as well as traffic volumes increase in the future.

International wave will provide circuit capabilities of 10Gbps and 100Gbps with low latency and guaranteed bandwidth as there will be no sharing of connections.

"We’re delighted to announce this new partnership which enables us to deliver the highest quality bandwidth connections from Dublin to a host of major cities across Europe and North America," Cormac Ryan, commercial director of Enert, said.
