Accountancy firm BDO is reaching out to financial services professionals who have left the workforce to fill roles across the practice.
The firm said its ‘Experienced Hires’ programme offers returners senior roles on a competitive salary and promises a return-to-work training programme.
BDO said it will provide mentoring and training programmes in IT systems and professional development, while also tapping into the softer skills such as confidence building.
Full or part time roles will be available in BDO’s offices in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.
Niamh O’Brien, director - talent management, said there are some largely untapped pools of talent that could help to fill the gaps, such as qualified and experienced people who exited the workforce for family commitments, sabbaticals, early retirement, or career breaks.
“We are looking forward to welcoming these professionals back into their careers, where they left off,” said O’Brien.
“That's the important piece - not having to take more junior levels and work their way up again. By providing mentoring and training programmes to catch these employees back-up, we believe that they can make a hugely impactful difference at BDO at the level at which they exited.
“This is a wholly unique programme that hasn’t been replicated in Ireland before. Unlike other returner-internship programmes, we are offering senior roles to these employees.”
O’Brien added that roles available to returners include Audit Managers, Tax Managers, Qualified Accountants, Senior Administrators, and Risk & Advisory Specialists.
