Brook Food Services Adding 30 Jobs

Brook Food Services, which is involved in contract and event catering solutions, says it will create 30 new jobs during 2016 and that a recruitment drive is now underway to fill these positions. The expansion will bring the company headcount to 255 people.

Kieran Callinan, who was recently appointed managing director, said: “Today’s announcement is another milestone for Brook Food Services. Over the past year Brook Food Services has been awarded contracts with Tyco, Shannon Heritage, the Revenue Commissioners and Barretstown Fun Camp. We are recruiting for roles in HR, digital marketing and finance and we have a clear focus on attracting the highest calibre of people into our company.”

Chairman Rose McHugh added: “Brook Food Services has achieved exponential growth through a strong, value-based business. This expansion is about building on the company’s success to date and pushing the boundaries for customers. These new appointments will allow us to continue to grow both our staff and the capabilities of the company.”

Brook was established in 2007 and has offices in Cork, Clare and Dublin and was the first contract catering company in Ireland to be accredited with four ISO standards of ISO – ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14000 Environmental, ISO 18000 Occupational, Health & Safety and ISO 22000 Food Safety Management.

The company, based in Cork, caters for profile annual events such as the Rose of Tralee Ball and Cork Chamber of Commerce annual dinner. In the year to January 2015, the average salary for 106 employees was €21,000.
