Automotive shopping website CarGurus is to establish its European headquarters in Dublin, creating 100 new jobs over the next three years.
The office will be CarGurus’ first branch location outside the U.S. and is expected to be operational by June 2016. The firm said it will be a hub for the inside sales, dealer account services and technical development teams that will build CarGurus’ country-specific operations in Europe, including CarGurus UK, which launched in September 2015.
The Boston company was prompted to set up in Ireland through ConnectIreland, a state initiative that offers cash rewards to people who convince companies to set up shop in Ireland.
Langley Steinert, CarGurus’ founder and CEO, said: “Dublin gives us access to the exceptional talent we will need to propel our continued success in Europe, and we look forward to joining the vibrant tech community in this great city.”
Kristen Kenny, CarGurus VP of people and talent acquisition, added: “Dublin is full of amazing talent, and we are actively recruiting professionals in the areas of inside sales and account management.”
CarGurus uses proprietary search technology, data analysis and community reviews to help consumers find car deals from local dealerships.
