Derek Henry moves into Head of Tax role at BDO

Derek Henry has been appointed Head of Tax with BDO Ireland, succeeding Ciarán Medlar who spent 13 years in the position.

Henry joined the company in 2006 as a tax manager and became a partner in 2015.

A Chartered Accountant and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute, Henry holds a BA in Accounting and Finance, an MBS in Accounting from DCU, and a Diploma in Legal Studies from the King’s Inns. He also has a certificate Real Estate Economics and Finance.

The firm said Henry will work with clients across the company's tax service offering which includes Financial Services, Transfer Pricing, Customs and International Trade, R&D tax credits, Employment Taxes and Private Clients.
